Our holiday program is not limited to Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Veterans Day, Independence Day, New Year’s Day, Labor Day and Eid al-Fitr.
SEPI help low income families by providing free toys, presents and meals. A focus of these programs is on supporting households with kids or senior citizens, however anyone that is currently struggling can apply for assistance
. Free gifts as well as boxes of food are passed out to the working poor or households that are facing a short term financial emergency. We also assist with gifts for celebration of any of these holidays.
Millions of families are struggling and the holidays make those challenges more apparent. However there are SEPI and their partners as well as churches and mosques, including local Catholic Churches and Mosques have free toy and meal programs available. We help children, less privileged, Veterans, the unemployed as well as the elderly. The goal is to ensure that every low income family has both food and some type of gift given to them during the period.
The various Holiday Assistance Programs that are offered by SEPI provide holiday meals, free toys, clothing, presents and other assistance. There is support for children from a low income household as well as single mothers or fathers.
In addition to a gift for a kid, the family may be able to receive the necessary food and grocery items that are needed to make a Holiday meal
for their family. The SEPI Assistance Program is the non-profit charity organization’s largest outreach event that is held each and every year. It can be called different names by the local centers, but the most common is Love Feast. We also join other Churches and Mosques for free holiday gift giving programs and the details of those will also vary.
Families and individuals may register for holiday assistance by completing the application process, which usually starts a month towards the celebration day of the holiday and its on the basis of first come and served for those that are eligible.
For the purpose of freedom of religion, we also provide support to our Muslims brothers and sisters during their celebration of Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr is an important Islamic holiday that involves many Muslims waking up early and praying either at an outdoor prayer ground or a mosque. Many Muslims dress in their finest clothes and adorn their homes with lights and other decorations. Old wrongs are forgiven and money is given to the poor. Special foods are prepared and friends or relatives are invited to share the feast. Gifts and greeting cards are exchanged and children receive presents. Eid al-Fitr is a joyous occasion but its underlying purpose is to praise God and give thanks to him, according to Islamic belief. Our ability to achieve this is through your donations and volunteering. Therefore, we welcome all volunteers who wish to be part of these programs. Terms and conditions apply. You can call all for further inquiries or send us an email.
